Nolan Crouse is a native Albertan; raised on a farm in east central Alberta. After his post-secondary education, he spent 30 years in management and executive roles within the Forest Products industry in Slave Lake, Grande Prairie, Edmonton and Pennsylvania (USA). Nolan held these leadership roles with Procter and Gamble, West Fraser Timber and Alberta Energy Company (EnCana), followed by several years as a small business owner of a sawmill and wood packaging manufacturing plant employing 30 staff in west Edmonton.
Nolan served 4 consecutive Municipal Council terms as Councillor and Mayor of the City of St. Albert (10 years), as well as, was Chair of the Capital Region Board for 5.5 years.
He holds a Masters degree in Community Economic Development, is a Chemical Technologist, and is a certified Auctioneer. Nolan has a history of serving his community and industry in many aspects including the United Way, the Alberta Forest Products Association, Canada Winter Games, as well as Head Coach/General Manager of AJHL hockey franchises in both Brooks and Fort Saskatchewan.
Nolan Crouse is a past recipient of the prestigious Pulp and Paper John Bates award, awarded a "Key to the City" in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, the Rotary Paul Harris Award and was recipient of the Queen's Jubilee Silver Medallion.
He and his wife Gwen have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren.
